National Bank of Fujairah today joined the Dubai Municipality's on-going campaign

National Bank of Fujairah today joined the Dubai Municipality's on-going campaign to revamp used computers and laptops and donate them to charities around the country. NBF donated 101 desktops and 130 monitors which will be revived then distributed to charitable organizations by the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum Humanitarian and Charity Establishment.

The program also has an environmental angle, where Dubai's booming growth has resulted in it becoming one of the world's largest producers of waste. In addition to environmental protection, the initiative promotes the use of technology by providing the beneficiary entities with necessary equipment for education and training purposes.

"National Bank of Fujairah has increased its community development efforts over the past months and will continue to do so as a matter of Corporate Social Responsibility," said Asad Ahmed, General Manager of the National Bank of Fujairah. "This program developed by the Dubai Municipality is of particular interest for us since it combines the promotion of education through technology with environmental aspects.

The program is open to all private and public sector institutions as well as individual and family households. The Mohammed Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum Humanitarian and Charity Establishment, through its connections with charitable organizations will extend beneficiary organizations the required services and technical support to be able to efficiently operate the equipment.

"Dubai municipality is embarking on this program as an innovative approach to help corporations participate in community and environment initiatives through partnership" said Asma Al Jesmi, head of Al Twar center of Dubai municipality. "The initiative is for individual's institutions and the public to generously donate second-hand, damaged or discarded computers to the center" she added, inviting all to be part of this great project.
