Updated List of Purpose of Payment (PoP) Codes
In support of recent changes announced by the Central Bank of the UAE, effective 17th December 2018, Purpose of Payments (PoP) codes are being updated for both local and international remittance.
PoP codes are uniform code list with three digit codes to determine the purpose of all incoming and outgoing transfers.
Please note, if a valid Purpose of Payment code is not provided, your payment(s) may get rejected or delayed. Should you have any transfers on standing instruction and the PoP code needs to be modified, please visit the nearest NBF branch immediately.
