Record participation at 8th NBF Fujairah Run, bringing together diverse group of runners to celebrate fitness
Held in partnership with the UAE Sports Authority, almost 4,000 runners took part with cash prizes totalling AED 100,000
29 November 2024: In its biggest edition ever, National Bank of Fujairah (NBF) saw close to 4,500 registrations for its eighth annual run through the Emirate of Fujairah, with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, gracing runners with his presence and the top runners in each of six categories receiving prizes from His Highness.
Organised in partnership with the UAE Sports Authority to raise awareness of the health benefits of a more active lifestyle, this year’s run saw record participation of nearly 4,000 runners, including some of the UAE’s best runners, fitness enthusiasts, casual runners, and many families.
An established fixture on the UAE sporting calendar, the NBF Fujairah Run featured runs of 3km, 5km, 10km, an 11km trail run, a team run, and a people of determination run, with all runners enjoying scenic routes which took them through the historic town of Fujairah and out into its picturesque surroundings, all set against a mountain backdrop.
By organising this event year after year, NBF demonstrates its dedication to promoting health and wellness in the community and fostering a healthier, more active society while supporting its strategic goals of sustainability and community development.
