How It Works

  1. Open an Eligible Account
    Open and obtain approval for an eligible individual AED NBF Current or Savings Account during the offer period.
  2. Add Fresh Funds
    Fund your eligible account with at least AED 100,000 in fresh funds by the last calendar day of the month following the month in which your account is opened.
  3. Maintain Your Qualifying Balance
    Maintain an overall average balance of at least AED 100,000 for six consecutive calendar months. The qualification period begins in the calendar month immediately following the month in which your account is opened.

Meet all applicable offer requirements and your bonus interest will be credited as a single payment within 45 days after the six-month qualification period ends.

To qualify for a salary-transfer bonus interest rate:

  • Your salary must be credited to an eligible NBF account every month throughout the six-month qualification period.
  • Your salary-transfer arrangement must remain active until the bonus interest is credited.
  • Your salary must be credited by your employer through UAEFTS, WPS or another transaction clearly identified as salary.

Cash deposits, cheque deposits and transfers from personal accounts are not considered eligible salary credits. If you no longer meet the salary-transfer requirements, you may qualify for the applicable non-salary-transfer rate, provided all other offer conditions are met.

 

Who Can Apply?

The offer is available to eligible UAE nationals and expatriates who qualify as New-to-Bank customers and open an eligible individual AED Current or Savings Account during the offer period.

For this offer, a New-to-Bank customer is an individual who does not have an existing banking relationship or hold an active account or product with NBF when the eligible account is opened.

You may also qualify if:

  • You hold only a standalone NBF credit card and no other active NBF account or product.
  • You are a former NBF customer whose previous banking relationship was fully closed on or before 31 December 2025, subject to meeting all other eligibility requirements.

What Are Fresh Funds?

Fresh funds are funds newly brought into NBF from outside the Bank during the offer period. These may include:

  • Transfers from other local or international banks
  • Eligible salary credits
  • Cash deposits from external sources
  • Proceeds from cheques or remittances

Transfers between NBF accounts, funds already held with NBF, rollovers and transfers originating from NBF corporate accounts do not qualify as fresh funds.

Which accounts are eligible?
The offer applies to eligible individual Conventional Current Accounts and Conventional Savings Accounts denominated in AED. Max Saver, Twin Benefit and foreign-currency accounts are not eligible.

How can I qualify for the Salary transfer Bonus Interest rate?

To qualify for a salary-transfer bonus interest rate:

  • Your salary must be credited to an eligible NBF account every month throughout the six-month qualification period.
  • Your salary-transfer arrangement must remain active until the bonus interest is credited.
  • Your salary must be credited by your employer through UAEFTS, WPS or another transaction clearly identified as salary.

When does the six-month qualification period begin?
It begins on the first day of the calendar month immediately following the month in which your eligible account is opened and continues for six consecutive calendar months.

For example, if your account is opened on 15 September 2026, your qualification period will run from 1 October 2026 to 31 March 2027.

By when must I fund my account?
Your eligible account must be funded with at least AED 100,000 by the last calendar day of the month following the account-opening month.

For example, if your account is opened on 15 September 2026, it must be funded with at least AED 100,000 by the end of 31 October 2026.

How is my six-month average balance calculated?
It is calculated by adding the daily end-of-day balances maintained in your eligible account during the six-month qualification period and dividing the total by the number of calendar days in that period.  

What is the maximum balance eligible for bonus interest?
Bonus interest is calculated on qualifying balances of up to AED 10 million. Any amount above AED 10 million will not be included in the calculation.

When will I receive my bonus interest?
Your bonus interest will be credited as a single payment within 45 days after the six-month qualification period ends, subject to meeting all applicable offer requirements.

Do I need to maintain a balance after the qualification period?
Yes. Until the bonus interest is credited, you must maintain at least AED 100,000 in the qualifying account, another NBF account or accounts, or an NBF Term Deposit.

Can I receive partial bonus interest?
No. Partial or prorated bonus interest will not be paid if you do not meet the applicable offer requirements.  

Important Information

Account opening is subject to NBF’s policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, compliance review and approval criteria. Only one eligible account per customer will qualify. The eligible account must remain active and in good standing until the bonus interest is credited.
