Accelerating ESG
On 4th June, the NBF Knowledge Sharing event, organised in partnership with LSEG, focused on “Accelerating ESG: Turning Plans into Results.” The event emphasised the UAE’s sustainability goals, in line with COP28’s global commitments, particularly the UAE Energy Strategy 2050.
The session shared insights on aligning business ESG practices with national agendas and the COP28 pledge to boost renewable energy and energy efficiency by 2030. Companies discussed adopting renewable energy, reducing carbon footprints, and sustainable supply chain practices. The event also covered the importance of ESG reporting, with companies voluntarily reporting using frameworks like GRI and UN SDGs.
Panelists explored how businesses can authentically embed ESG practices, align with climate goals, and leverage technology to streamline sustainability reporting.
