National Bank of Fujairah celebrates record participation for 6th NBF Fujairah Run with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi presenting prizes

Over 2270 runners took part with cash prizes totalling AED 95,000

Over 42 runners participated in the ‘Determined ones’ category

National Bank of Fujairah (NBF) saw over 2270 runners take part in its sixth annual run through the Emirate of Fujairah on Saturday 19th November, with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah presenting trophies and medals to the winners.

The event builds on the success of previous runs and highlights its growing popularity, with this year seeing record participation from families, fitness enthusiasts and members across an array of fitness levels. Designed to encourage residents to adopt active lifestyles and raise awareness of the health benefits, the sixth edition welcomed old and new faces, including some of the UAE’s best runners.

The packed event programme delivered fun and fitness for all who took part, with trophies, medals and exciting cash prizes totaling up to AED 95,000.It featured six categories, including a 3km, 5km, 10km, 11km trail run and team run, as well as a determined ones run which saw participation from over 42 runners, who enjoyed scenic routes, winding through the historic town of Fujairah, taking in its picturesque surroundings.

Commenting on the race, Vince Cook, CEO of NBF, said: “It was fantastic to see so many new and returning faces for this year’s run, as the event continues to grow in popularity. There was a wonderful atmosphere throughout, and I’d like to congratulate all runners on their tremendous achievements. We are incredibly proud to continue our commitment to supporting the provision of events and facilities that enable active participation in sports and raise awareness of the subsequent health benefits, both in Fujairah and across the UAE, and look forward to many more NBF Fujairah Runs in the coming years.”
